Welcome to Mid Torfaen Ministry Area! We are a family of six churches seeking to share God’s love across Pontypool, Griffithstown, Trevethin, Sebastopol, Panteg, Waunfelin and the surrounding areas.
We believe that you are a beloved child of God – fearfully and wonderfully made.
We are part of the world wide Anglican Church, in the province of the Church in Wales, Diocese of Monmouth.
As part of the Anglican Communion, we follow the Five Marks of Mission:
- To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom
- To preach, baptise and nurture new believers
- To respond to human need by loving service
- To seek to transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and to pursue peace and reconciliation
- To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth
Therefore, we are here to love and serve you, all of our local communities, all of God’s Kingdom.
To help explore the Five Marks of Mission further within the Diocese of Monmouth, we have five key branches which actively embody their principles.
Our five branches of faith are:
- Discipleship
- Stewardship
- Environment
- Social Justice
- Equality and Diversity
We also follow our six diocesan values, Love, Generosity, Courage, Integrity, Joy, and Humility.
